Restrictions on electronic items on flights from and through Istanbul

Following the recent announcement by the UK Government the electrical items listed below will no longer be permitted in the cabin and will need to be checked in as hold baggage on all flights FROM AND THROUGH Istanbul to all Turkish Airlines UK destinations (London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Edinburgh, Manchester and Birmingham)

Banned cabin items:
• 1. All Lap tops
• 2. All Tablets such as Ipads
• 3. All E-Readers such as Kindles
• 3. Mobiles phones larger than 16cm in length
  9.3cm wide 1.5cm deep

The following ‘Plus’ Phones are permitted:
• 1 iPhone 7 Plus
• 2 Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge
• 3 Samsung Galaxy Note 3
• 4 LG G3
• 5 Sony Xperia Z2

These regulations will come into force for all flights from midnight local time on Saturday 25th March

The restrictions apply to all passengers travelling from Istanbul or through Istanbul, eg if your journey is Bangkok-Istanbul-London

The restrictions DO NOT apply on flights departing from the United Kingdom
